Johnny Stanley is the Deputy Comptroller for East and Northeast Regions of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
In this role, Mr. Stanley oversees more than 200 community banks and federal savings associations. He manages a staff of more than 350 bank examiners and other professional and support personnel located in offices in Detroit, Mich.; Indianapolis, Ind.; Louisville, Kent.; Ohio; Massachusetts; New Jersey; New York; Pennsylvania; and Washington, D.C. He assumed this role in November 2022.
Prior to this position, Mr. Stanley served as the Associate Deputy Comptroller for the Northeastern District. Mr. Stanley started his OCC career in 2008 as an Assistant National Bank Examiner in Cleveland. He served as an Assistant Deputy Comptroller in the San Francisco Field Office for several years after graduating from the OCC’s LeaderTRACK program. He has served in various positions throughout the OCC and in the banking industry.
Mr. Stanley received his bachelor of science degree in political science from Bethany College, a master’s in business administration from the University of Phoenix and is a Certified Accredited Mortgage Professional. He became a commissioned National Bank Examiner in 2013.
