Chief Executive Officers of All National Banks, Federal Savings Associations, and Federal Branches and Agencies of Foreign Banking Organizations; Department and Division Heads; All Examining Personnel; and Other Interested Parties
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today issued updates to the "Bank Premises and Equipment," "Consigned Items and Other Customer Services," and "Litigation and Other Legal Matters" booklets of the Comptroller's Handbook.
Updates to Comptroller's Handbook booklets are summarized in the "Table of Updates Since Publication" in the back of each booklet. Refer to the "Foreword" booklet of the Comptroller's Handbook for more information regarding the OCC's process for updating booklets.
The revised and updated booklets replace the booklets of the same title previously issued in 2016 and 2015 and rescind the following: OCC Bulletin 2016-42, "Bank Premises and Equipment: Revised Comptroller's Handbook Booklet and Rescissions"; OCC Bulletin 2016-44, "Consigned Items and Other Customer Services: Revised Comptroller's Handbook Booklet"; and OCC Bulletin 2015-4, "Litigation and Other Legal Matters: Revised Comptroller's Handbook Booklet." These OCC Bulletins transmitted the previous versions of the booklets.
The revised "Bank Premises and Equipment" and "Litigation and Other Legal Matters" booklets apply to the OCC's supervision of all national banks, federal savings associations, and federal branches and agencies (collectively, banks). The "Consigned Items and Other Customer Services" booklet applies to all banks that offer consigned items and other customer services.
