WASHINGTON—The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency will host workshops for national community bank directors at the Ritz Carlton, Henderson, Nevada, March 20-22.
The workshops provide practical information that expands bank directors' skills and understanding of issues facing their banks. The three workshops cover risk assessment ("Understanding the OCC's Risk Assessment Process"), compliance risk ("Compliance Risk: What Directors Need to Know"), and credit risk ("Credit Risk: A Director's Focus").
Workshops will be held on consecutive days and cost $65 each. Individuals may register for one, two, or all three of the workshops. Attendees receive a pre-course reading package, course materials, an OCC telephone seminar CD, other appropriate supervisory materials, a continental breakfast and lunch. Workshops are limited to the first 50 registrants and are geared primarily to outside directors of national community banks with assets of less than $1 billion. Management directors may also find the workshop beneficial.
