Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Office of Thrift Supervision
WASHINGTON—The federal bank and thrift regulatory agencies announced today the agenda and keynote speaker for the 2008 Interagency Minority Depository Institutions (MDI) National Conference. The theme of this year's conference for federally insured MDIs will be "Know Your Business, Grow Your Business." This year's keynote speaker will be Robert L. Johnson, founder and Chairman, The RLJ Companies.
Representatives from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Reserve Board, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and Office of Thrift Supervision will address a wide range of issues regarding the challenges MDIs face today in ensuring their long-term success and viability.
The 2008 Interagency Minority Depository Institutions National Conference will be held at the Westin Michigan Avenue Hotel in Chicago, Illinois, from July 16-18, 2008.
