WASHINGTON—Senior Deputy Comptroller for Midsize and Community Bank Supervision Toney Bland in testimony before Congress today discussed the challenges facing small national banks and federal savings associations and the work of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to help these institutions remain a vibrant part of our nation’s financial system. Mr. Bland made his remarks at a hearing of the Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee, House Financial Services Committee.
