WASHINGTON — The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency today advised national banks in a proclamation that under federal law they may close their offices Wednesday (December 5, 2018), at their discretion, in any state in which the governor or other authorized official has declared a legal holiday in recognition of the National Day of Mourning for President George H. W. Bush.
Additionally federal savings associations and federal branches and agencies of foreign banks may also close their offices Wednesday (December 5, 2018) at their discretion in recognition of the National Day of Mourning for President Bush.
