The External Relations and Strategic Partnerships (ERSP) division conducts outreach activities through its participation, coordination, and execution of conferences, roundtables and seminars for mission-driven institutions and community organizations. ERSP collects information from these gatherings and shares key matters of interest impacting economically disadvantaged communities and geographies.
ERSP's role within the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) also includes activities to expand technical assistance and training activities. This type of engagement coordinates with organizations and financial institutions interested with improving fair access to banking services.
ERSP collaborates with educational institutions, service organizations, and financial institutions to provide financial education economically disadvantaged communities, increase the use of mainstream retail financial services, and build sustainable relationships between under-resourced communities and financial institutions.
ERSP hosts roundtables with colleges and universities interested in learning more about OCC's bank supervision process and how the agency's mission contributes to the stability of our nation's economy.
