Chandni Ohri is Director of Community Development at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
In this role, Ms. Ohri supervises a team of Community Development Experts who develop publications, conduct research, and facilitate communications that help national banks and federal savings associations provide safe and sound community development financing to underserved communities and consumers.
Before joining the OCC in 2023, Ms. Ohri spent more than 20 years in the not-for-profit sector designing and implementing financial inclusion, community and economic development, and consumer financial health initiatives. Her initiatives helped provide opportunities for women and low-income and underserved consumers in places that include south Asia, southeast Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa.
Ms. Ohri holds a master’s degree in international development from the University of Washington in Seattle and a master’s degree in business administration from the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore, India.
