Onjil McEachin is the Director for Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Fair Lending Policy at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
In this role, Ms. McEachin leads a team of specialists responsible for identifying emerging risks, developing examination procedures, and providing guidance on CRA and fair lending policy. She joined the OCC and assumed this role in November 2024.
Prior to joining the OCC, Ms. McEachin served as Director for the Division of Consumer Affairs within the Office of Consumer Financial Protection at the National Credit Union Administration. Ms. McEachin has also served as the Deputy Assistant General Counsel for Litigation at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and as a Trial Attorney in the Civil Rights Division, Housing and Civil Enforcement Section, at the U.S. Department of Justice where she received four distinguished honors from the Attorney General during her tenure.
Ms. McEachin earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California, San Diego, and law degree from Howard University School of Law.
