Coalition of African-American Regulatory Employees (CARE)

CARE functions as a focused channel of communication to the executive management of the OCC by:

• Assisting in the identification and resolution of systemic barriers that hinder employees' professional development,
• Providing suggestions to aid in the achievement of the full utilization of employees,
• Utilizing self-help strategies to enhance the well being, education, and professional development of employees,
• Serving as a knowledgeable, problem identification and resolution group for employees,
• Acting as a mechanism for gathering and disseminating career-related information to employees,
• Encouraging pride and motivation in employees to bolster individual self-image and to achieve full potential, and
• Assisting with the OCC strategies to recruit and retain a diverse workforce.
