Native American Tribes & Indigenous Voices (NATIVe)

NATIVe is an employee network group (ENG) founded in November 2022. NATIVe’s mission is to foster the recruitment, development, and retention of Indigenous Peoples and Native Americans as employees and to promote OCC employee awareness, understanding, and interest in Native American and Indigenous Peoples’ cultures and financial issues.

NATIVe’s goals align with the OCC’s mission by:

• Advancing the OCC's goal of a diverse workforce by assisting in the recruitment of qualified Native American and Indigenous Peoples candidates and participating in the OCC's Office of Women and Minority Inclusion (OMWI) activities.
• Promoting awareness of Native American and Indigenous Peoples’ cultures and perspectives, including being good stewards of the land, and federal Indian law as it intersects with banking laws through conducting events and activities for all employees.
• Serving as a voice for Indigenous Peoples and Native Americans in agency discussions on diversity and providing opportunities for members to network, share experiences and resources, and learn from one another.
• Providing resources for, organizing, and promoting outreach events involving Indigenous Peoples and Native Americans and Indian Country and establishing ties with outside organizations to broaden our knowledge and sphere of influence.
