Credit risk exists on and off the balance sheet across a variety of products, activities, and services. In this workshop, instructors will discuss the board’s role in establishing lending strategy, approving credit risk appetite and limits, and overseeing the effectiveness of credit risk management practices. You'll learn how to recognize adverse trends, better understand credit risk within the loan portfolio, and assess overall portfolio performance and risk trends. We'll also clarify the roles of boards and management and discuss common factors why banks may experience performance challenges.
Work with and learn from experienced OCC examiners who lead this workshop, which includes discussions of best practices, lectures, and hands-on exercises designed for directors and senior management of national community banks and federal savings associations.
